Some creations begin with a plan.
These didn't.
I started making these bag charms simply to give my mind a break from painting and illustration. Working with clay, beads and tiny details became a different kind of creativity— slower, playful and wonderfully nostalgic.
Then something unexpected happened.
Every charm reminded me of growing up in South Africa during the 90s.
Stopping at a farm stall on a family road trip.
Buying Jelly Tots at the corner café.
Peppermint Crisp chocolate.
Steri Stumpies.
School backpacks covered in keyrings.
Summer holidays at the seaside.
Saturday mornings, cassette tapes and carefree afternoons.
Before long, I realised these weren't just accessories.
They were tiny happy memories.
Each charm is handmade using polymer clay, air-dry clay, hand-painted wooden beads, oil pastels and a glossy UV resin finish.
Every piece includes three removable chains, allowing you to style it your own way—wear them all together, or remove one or two for a simpler look.
No two charms are ever exactly alike, and that's exactly how I like it.
