Some creations begin with a plan.
These didn't.
I started making these bag charms simply to give my mind a break from painting and illustration. Working with clay, beads and tiny details became a different kind of creativity— slower, playful and wonderfully nostalgic.
Then something unexpected happened.
Every charm reminded me of growing up in South Africa during the 90s.
Before long, I realised these weren't just accessories. They were tiny happy memories.
Each charm is handmade using polymer clay, air-dry clay, hand-painted wooden beads, oil pastels and a glossy UV resin finish. Here and there you will get a surprise charm like a sweetie or lollipop.
